Redpoll on Pine

Details: Acrylic and embroidery on canvas | 3” x 3”

Inspiration: My spirit animal: the Borb. As birders and Audubon can explain, it’s the gloriously rotund silhouette of a winter bird puffed against the cold. This redpoll embodies that exquisite roundness.

Process: Human hands were not mean to be sewing in such small real estate, but it is also human nature to persevere.

Note: This one has also flown the coop as it’s another one of my mom’s favorite species, but similar made to order works available at my Etsy Shop.
